I'm not sure what "clean glass" means. Does clean glass mean "mint" with zero marks and no abuse or improper cleaning. For instance would you expect them to pass a Swarovski inspection without scratches or wear? That's probably not a fair question, forgive me I'm not trying to come across as rude. I'm just particular about the Swaro optics I own. And like you, I have some that for one reason or another have turned into "safe queens" that I don't need or use and I may sell soon. So, I do "get it".
For perspective, I have an old pair (maybe 30 years old..) of 10x42 SLCs that I babied and when I sent them in to Swarovski for an inspection they said the objectives had some "micro scratches" that were invisible to a normal person and would not impact image quality. Everything else was "perfect". They also offered to replace the objective lenses for a very reasonable small fee (I think maybe less than $100) so I had them do that even though it wasn't a rationale decision. I love Swarovski!
