Swarovski EL 10x42 Carrying Case

So I just purchased a set of Swarovski EL 10x42 binos. What is the best way to lug them around the mountains? I usually hike 15+ miles a day through anything from parks to blowdowns, temps from 70 to -30, snow, sun, rain...

A bino bivy seems to be the way to go for security and protection. I don't want it to be too huge though. Any suggestions on a comfortable smaller bivy or other options out there to consider?

Find a good case like the AGC or FHF, I prefer the AGC (Alaskan Guide Creations). If you want smaller go with the FHF.

Badlands bino mag... doesn't have all the pockets and storage the agc has but is simple and works well. I like the marsupial as well. You'll have to buy and return a bunch before you find the right one. There are a lot of options and many will have different opinions so it's kind of a personal choice. See what people suggest on here and then try them out.

I've been very happy with my marsupial bino pack, it works well with both my 10x42 Geovids or 8.5x42 swaro el's

Another vote for AGC. 1st few times using this pouch with the els it seemed very snug and almost to tight of a fir. Then I took the covers off the objective lens and now the fit it just about perfect.

I don't like how loud the magnet is on the badlands pack when it closes. Does the Marsupial pack close as loudly? The packs that have the "rubber band" closures are nice - they seem quieter.

It's pretty cool how the Marsupial has the option to attach a range finder pocket. I'm gonna get a sig kilo 2400 soon and sell my G7 BR2 - it's too big and the Kilo has a better laser.

I'm not sure if I'd like the additional range finder pouch on the side of the bino harness, or if it would be better to have a deeper harness, like the AGC, where I could put the range finder in front of the binos and just have it stick off my chest farther. I don't want the pouch to be too big though.

Is it still possible to wear a chest holster with the bino harness? 4" smith and wesson 500

My original concern with the AGC was the same as yours, thought it was too bulky and would stick way out there. I've had the FHF, Bino Bro Pro and AGC. This archery season I left the AGC home and regretted it, it is just so nice to organize constantly used items and no it isn't too bulky or gets in the way. In the future I'll just use the AGC.

I have the AGC and use the bottom part for my GPS, while my RF is attached to the left strap harness.
I like it as it organizes a lot of stuff I always want on me.
My Swaro 10x42 were tight, until I removed the lens caps from the Obj lens.

I have since ordered the Badlands version (XR I believe ??) that has the same type of set up
- bino pouch, GPS or RF pouch below that, plus 2 side pockets, and a back pocket as well as a rain cover which is removable if desired.

I normally have my wind checker in my AGC top stretchy area, quick easy and do it without looking.

Not sure I will like the change with the badlands to have it in a zipper side enclose.
You know how hard it is to change when you get used to something

Anyway, I believe if you can get used to the bulk up front, you will love it.
If you are one of those guys who just cant tolerate all that mass on your chest- none of them will work for you.

With that said- get the AGC set up with 2 side pockets, a bino pouch big enough for 10x42's and a lower compartment for either RF or GPS.
OR
Get the Badlands (new one), that does the same thing, while a better bigger RF or GPS compartment.

The badlands is a bit heavier, but seems to be better for me as with my AGC I added a pouch for the RF anyway. And on the badlands I can tether the GPS to the side with their hidden set ups- pretty cool.

You may want to take a look at the Outdoor Vision Ridgetop harness at Bino Harnesses, Rangefinder Carry Solutions, Gaiters, Accessories. Does have magnets, but is VERY quiet. Does not have a loud click like others. Less bulk than the AGC too. Sent you a PM.

The outdoor vision does look pretty good. Anybody else have experience with that one? If the marsupial had closed sides to keep the dirt out, I'd probably go that route.

I owned every harness made I think. Outdoor vision is the first one I liked.
