Swarovski binos choice

Hello all,

I currently have the NL Pure 10x32 and love them. They work best for all around for hunting in western oregon. I am looking for a higher magnification pair to add for looking at bear and antelope.

I can can get a pair of SLC 15x56 for $1,800 or a pair of NL Pure 14x52 for $3,100. This pair would not be used as much. I know the Pure is amazing but is it worth paying $1,300 more?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
David
Totally your preference, budget and the amount of use they will get. 1 or 2 hunts a year go SLC HD and spend the money on other gear, hunting 1-2 months a year across multiple tags and several states, get the NL 14xs.

I have owned 10s and 15s since 2010, and love the combo of them.
Two years ago I had the 10x42NL and 15x56 SLC HD, I sold the SLCs to buy the 14x52NLs.

The benefits were several - weight savings, smaller overall bino, and wider field of view/better viewing experience. The "upgrade" wasn't overly expensive because I was able to sell my older HD's to make up some of the cost difference. I hunt SoCal and the surrounding states so almost all of the stuff I do is open country western hunting, so my 10s and 14s see a lot of use.

Can the 12 x 42 NL Pures be handheld relatively easily or is it a case where they can be handheld
but you need to be leaning against something? Just asking because I am planning a 2027 Mule deer hunt in the prairies of Alberta and I want to avoid bringing a tripod if I can.
Easy to hand hold plus easy to use on tripod . Perfect choice
