Anyone else find that their Swaro Arca Plate is too small to fit in a clamp? Thought the problem was the Leofoto level clamp may be off on dimensions, but just spent $400 on the RRS setup and still slides right out. 😐

I am. It says AS on the bottom
They're AS compatible but they are slightly different. Gitzo makes the tripods/tripod heads for swaro and if you try to use more standardized arca plates in the swaro versions of their tripod heads (like the CTH) they do not fit as well and you will notice the swaro head has a shorter or thinner clamping height compared to standard arca swiss.

To my understanding there are a couple different instances that you will find in the tripod head/adapter world that are like this when it comes to Arca swiss compatability. In my experience it hasn't rendered any of them useless but does make a guy scratch his head.

Have you tried a $20 plate? It is what I had to do for my STX 65/95 and my Jim White 2.0.

Yeah I just give mine an extra twist if using a tripod head not specifically set up for the Swarovski objective.

I’m using a Sirui plate on it now, would just love to be a of to ditch the plate and use the built in.

Yep, same issue with the Sirui here. It has limited movement of the clamping mechanism so the Swaro
rides loose. Pretty annoying.

Is your RRS tripod head in ARCA or RRS mount? The RRS mount is slightly larger than a standard ARCA and will require the RRS specific place for your spotter. Unfortunately, the Swarovski base plate is about 0.07" to small to fit snugly in an RRS mount.
