They are 2011 model year. I don’t have them registered so if I were to send you the full serial number you could register them in your name and then I’d have your “stolen” binos!!!
I think if you are only going to use binos and you hunt out West, mainly glassing and from a tripod a lot of the time, these are hands down the way to go. Or if you backpack hunt quite a bit and don’t want to carry a spotter or 15’s in addition to 8’s or 10s as your primary glass, these are a great asset.
I’m just very limited in my hunting areas at this time, don’t backpack hunt and 10’s and a spotter are my preferred setup. If I were to just have a single set of binos though, this would be them.
I think all you need to tell him is the letter and the first 2 numbers of the serial number. You add 30 to that and have the year made. I had a pair that had a letter and then 87, so they were made in 2017
Yes, they are D81xxxxxxx... but he asked for the serial number, not just the first 2, so I just wanted to let him know why I wouldn’t give the full serial number. Next buyer will be able to register them in their name upon receipt.
