I have for sale a pair of used Swarovski 10x42 SLC’s for sale. I think they are 15 years old. One minor imperfection on one of the objective lenses. Doesn’t not impact vision through them at all. Just got them back Swarovski where they went through them, replaced the eye cups, and cleaned them up. Nothing wrong with them, just got a deal on some EL’s I couldn’t pass up. $1000 OBO shipped to your door. PayPal(not friends and family) preferred. Any questions just ask. Terry (208)521-1848 Edit to add- they also come with the outdoorsman bino stud 5CD38B81-2A56-4E2B-A025-F52FF24ECD15.jpeg04C8676A-2809-4917-9A94-438C7D0082D9.jpeg5FF9110D-15D1-440A-8F76-2F2710DC52BD.jpegD6E11763-CE21-4392-B2E0-BEEC9AF34135.jpeg7C1ECFEC-C925-419A-B966-CDDFA5C7FE10.jpeg1AA02FFB-2F05-4F11-B880-9D49E5B79EE2.jpeg

What would you gain buy buying a newer model of the SLC over these. I’m new to the high end optic scene so forgive my stupid questions

Not sure. I think the newer models have a little bit different feeling armor on them. I think they have a newer coating on the lenses also. Maybe a Swarovski expert can chime in and let us both know for sure.

Not the OP, but I can tell you my brother has this pair and I've owned two pairs of the newest SLC's, and I couldn't tell any difference. If anything, I liked his a little more tbh. At the very least, they had a smoother focus wheel than either of my newer SLC's

Am I missing something. The serial number on the binoculars doesn't match the box

DA serial number is a new number assigned when they were serviced. It means the housings were replaced as part of the service. New number is dated 2019.

Newer SLCs are HD glass I believe. Not sure whether that matters to you. And yes, newer lens coatings as said above. These are fine optics either way.

I have an older pair of SLCs (8x30) of the same generation as those posted here. Agree with this statement... They are very well built.

I think the spot on the lens is what has people concerned.
Kudos to you for honesty in your posting. You might post your location, somebody close may be more willing to meet up and look through them, then buy them.

Spot on the lense is an extremely small “chip” I’d call it. Not at all visible through the Binoculars when using them. Purely cosmetic. $950 obo.
