I am picking up a used ATS 80 HD. It looks to be in good shape with a little honest hunting wear. If I were to send it in for a cleaning and checkup what else can a guy do to them while it's there? I've heard they can polish glass and possibly reseal and purge with new gas?

I'm sure I could call customer service but I like to ask here first....dont want to sound clueless if I call in and don't know what to ask for.

Thanks in advance.

I’d wait until you get the spotter in your hands. If there’s anything wrong with it - call and get an RMA #. Then they’ll send you an email with instructions on how to package it and where to send it to. You’ll be able to log into the Swarovski Service Website and check the status as much as you want. Notes will be added as they input them. You can put a note in there with your spotter on exactly what you want done or checked. They have called me to go over anything I’ve ever sent them.

I say to wait because my personal experience with Swarovski is that they are pretty lenient on the first time you send something in for repair. So if there’s nothing wrong with it, save your “lenient repair” for something that may/or may not happen in the future as you use that spotter. My 2 cents. YMMV. Good luck!

That's what I thought too....what the heck are people talking about when they say polished? I've read it in old posts on this site and hear people say it in person. They just mean a good cleaning?
