Here is my new set-up, well the digiscoping stuff is new anyway. Ended up going with the attachment system based off of Bitterrootbulls reviews and advice.

I went with a Canon A1300 camera because it runs off AA batteries and not the proprietary rechargeable. To me rechargeable are a hassle with buying expensive spares and always having to keep them charged, then carrying spare batteries that wont serve a dual purpose with other gear I carry, i.e. Flashlight, GPS, etc.

Went with Zeikos lens adapter and a Tines up ring to make things simple. It all fits together well. The Tines Up ring and Zeikos adapter are light enough, they don't add much weight at all in my backcountry kit.

Camera $100.00
Tines Up ring $70.00
Zeikos adapter $15.00

All total the price wasn't too bad to get set-up. Much easier to use and esthetically pleasing than the home-made rig I had before.photo(18).JPG

Why the Zeikos Adapter? I thought the tines up came with everything?

I am thinking about getting a tines up is why I ask.

Congrats on the setup.
