the 10x is legit. I thought it might be a handicap being fixed at 10 magnification. Hasn’t been a problem. If anything I’d say it helps me in practice making sure I’m indexing my rifle properly while getting into position from standing.

Naw 10X is good to go to 1000 yards and further. If i was to worry about it handicapping me it would be for super short range stuff. But its rare for me where I live to have a shot under 100 yards. So not an issue. Most shots are 100 to 400 yards.

Indeed, I should have been more specific. I was worried about it handicapping at shorter ranges (100-400) with possibly having a harder finding the target through the scope.

I never had any real trouble with quick target acquisition with my 10x in that range, I actually liked it quite a bit, that said, I was mostly shooting at steel.
