Since there's no 6x's available and spending $450-500 for a used one is assnine. Would a 10x be second best?

Want to put a better scope on the browning highwall 22-250. And the old triple duce still has a vintage fixed tube.

Basically a range queen though I may do some hunting with it. Won't be doing any close range quick work.

Yes. I have successfully hunted whitetails with the SWFA 10x. I had kills at 80, 125, and 200 yards with it last season. It’s a great hunting scope. I think I actually prefer it to the 6x on rifles where I can’t really count on spotting my hits. One lives on my .25-06 and another is on my T1X. I keep a third on the shelf for use as a backup.

At the S2H course, I sold my backup to the gentleman who showed up with the MOA SFP scope. He had no scope issues the rest of the course. And I have a new backup on my shelf.

Swafa has a super secret spot they sell demo scopes. Been watching 10x hovering around $150-200. Just can't see a need to drop money on a maven or S2H scope for a gun I don't shoot much.
Haha I hear ya. That is the exact reason I have it on the gun mine is on. Nothing wrong with the gun or scope, but it hangs out in the safe quite a bit now a days because its a 300 WSM and not quite as "fun" to shoot as my other guns

For a 22-250 the fixed 10X might be a better choice then the 6X. I have both and on my predator/ varmint rifles I put the 10X on. I had a 12X but the FOV was a little too narrow for grassy areas. The 10X has worked well from 10ft (blurry rat), to a 811 yard yote, and 1754 yard attempt on a yote.

I like the 10x better than the 6x because I have to strain to see the hash marks for wind holds on the 6x.

The reticle is the same size (ish) on the 3-9x. I leave mine around 8 and the glass is better. Sure it costs twice as much but it's still cheap compared to the next tier of stuff.

Given they are the same scope with different magnification, it's not hard to figure out if you have another scope or can even possibly borrow one. Go out and look through a scope on 6x and a scope with 9 or 10x. That's the difference.

I noticed this shooting one of Form's the other week.
