This is my first year hunting since I moved to Colorado from Montana 8 years ago, and my first ever year bow hunting. I'm very fortunate to have some great friends who are showing me the ropes and helping me get squared away. I've got an over-the-counter E/S Archery elk tag and a fall turkey that I'm really hoping I can get an opportunity to fill. Already scouted some elk, and the gears are turning trying to plan out a successful opening week. Great form, and great info on here. I look forward to getting to know the community.

Welcome Cam. you're in a great state for an ES elk license. good luck on the hunt and we'd love to hear what you're learning.

Thanks Robby, right now I'm just trying to keep my head from spinning off with everything I'm learning. Mostly I'm learning that for every dollar I've spent (which I feel is a lot) it takes an hour of practice and work to make sure the money isn't wasted. I'm trying to put in my time, shooting, scouting and researching, so when opening day gets here, it's more than just a shot in the dark. I thought I was set on gear until I found this site, now I could more than double my budget to try and keep up! But really I think I have a good start and invested in some decent stuff that will last and luckily already had a fair amount of B/C gear to get me going. Thanks again for the reply and great forums.
