I like ARB, I had an issue with a product I had purchased and their service was great. I looked at their awning for my Land Cruiser but ultimately decided to continue to use a tarp. I keep a tarp and collapsible pole with a few stakes in the vehicle. I tie off to my crossbars then either to a tree, another vehicle or the pole. I can quickly deploy it and have shade for a break on the trail. I didn't want the awning up there full time making noise and reducing my already dismal MPG.

Another nice thing about a tarp and poles is that it gives you flexibility to pitch it on different sides of the vehicle or use it completely detached from the vehicle.

Then I would have to have a mullet, wear crocs and shoot a creedmoor.......

The alternative would be mounting an awning to your Gobi rack, alongside a pelican case, rooftop tent, Maxxtraxx, HighLift jack, Rotopax for fuel and water. Then keep your favorite IPA chilled in your pullout Dometic fridge and enjoy your lunch cooked on your slide out kitchen.
