The Petzl Myo XP takes AA batteries, usually same as most gadgets and is comparable. I like the looks of this light. I have had LEDs fail and the lights with multiple lamps proved more reliable because you can have 3 ot of 4 vs. 0 out of 1. That said, if you have a spare then you should have no worries.

Other than the Minimus being a SureFire product the thing I like about it is that it uses lithium 123A batteries which have an excellent life, and they are also what I use for my handheld flashlights...I am thinking that by having the same power source I will need less batteries in my pack reducing my weight- but, is that weight enough to justify the $130.00 Price tag???

Santa Claus brought me a Surefire Saint for Christmas, and I absolutely love it. The only negative I have is that everything else I carry backpacking uses double A's, but I deal with that.
