Suppressors

One can hope, the size of the bill is the worrying part, more for senators to object too. This said, even if we can knock down the tax stamp, that would still be huge.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a new can. Maybe I’ll wait since I have a few others that can suffice

Short barrel threaded calibers I currently own are 223, 6.5 creed and 308. Can y'all give me some can recommendations for those calibers? Hunting rifles for 25-400 yards.

Question on this. Say I live in California, but I hunt in Colorado every year. Some of my fellow hunters live in Colorado. With this passing, could I now purchase one and have my buddy hold onto it for the year until hunting season?

Wow that just rocked my world, thank you!
Thinking about it a little more, do some research first. Might run into issues on the 4473 with your California ID

Your buddy could also just purchase an extra one for himself and put you on his trust so you can be in possession when you come to town

You can do that currently. Put it on a trust and have your buddy on the trust

A resident of CA can’t buy one to put in a trust. Would have to become a resident of a can friendly state to purchase. Can have buddy “buy” one, and list himself on the trust though.

Yeah I just realized even if the bill passes the Senate, suppressors would still be considered "Firearms" and regulated as such. Will have to look into it more.

I am curious what would happen to existing suppressors registered with a tax stamp. Are the existing tax stamps nullified? Would there suddenly be a huge used market when the new inventory gets bought out the first day?

Man, there's a bunch.

Dead Air Nomad XC is a good option for short/light/quiet. TBAC ultra 7 is a long term staple of reliability and does well. If wanting to spend a bit less on Ti the Otter Creek Hydrogen line or Jolene S. Spend less yet with steel the AB A10. These would all be 30 cal cans that would work well on everything you listed.

Does anyone know if it’s legal to mail a suppressor to another person on the trust, or are you supposed to give it to them in person?
