Agreed on the pack horse was great suggestion earlier. Thanks.Custom leather scabbard on the pack horse
My current solution I’m attempting. Frankenstein’d a mountain ridge gear horn bag with an old eberlestock scope cover that had MOLLE straps.
It’ll balance out ok with a saw or tripod hanging off the other side, but it’s not perfect yet.
I really like it- I use the same vertical-style but have a full coverage scabbard instead of the split-style in the picture, after going away from the chassis that didn’t fit in it well. I hang my 15s and an extra water bottle on the offside to balance it better. How'd all this end up working out? Any changes or updates in how you set up a scabbard?

That's great stuff. Hadn't seen a setup hanging off a horn before, so this thread was really interesting to see. Next time you get a chance for photos, I'd love to see how you have it set up.
18” tikka with OG6.5 Trijicon 3-9. I don’t know if it’s because I run my stirrups different or what but my knees gently rest against my rifle and the bags opposite. Like Procison my water bottle and other heavy items offset my rifle as much as possible. I don’t love it but I don’t want to torture a scope or my knees with it under my leg.
