Suppressor for 18” 6mm creed

I would do a 30 cal can if it's your first...then you can use it on anything up to 30. It is a bit like a sickness and it won't be your last.

My next 30 cal can...I want a Unknown Suppressor Reaper or Dead Air Nomad XCTi. Unknown is adding a relex to their Reaper and it's causing me pause at the present moment...so I'll likely go that route and wait on the reflex.

An AB Raptor 8 isn't a bad selection for someone new dipping their toes into the suppressor pool...I'm not saying that because I own one because I don't but they are darn close to a great do all can that isn't too heavy and doesn't stick out to far past the barrel.

There are a lot of great cans out there and things are changing with the usage of 3D printing it seems weekly. Airlock is getting a lot of great press recently and I have a Nano (it's a 22 centerfire can) inflight from their 1/1 release.

A window into the sickness... I bought one of those 30 cal Blem Reapers, havent received it yet, and then got in on the OGs-6 group buy because I already want one for each rifle.

There are a ton of great suppressors out there.

What are you looking for in terms of size, weight, etc?

I've got a handful of suppressors now, but my most used is probably still the Liberty Precision Mach S (used on my match rifles). It sounds great, is around 10oz, and 7". My original OG (30 cal) can is great on form factor and super robust. The newer OG6.5 is allegedly quieter which would be a huge plus.

Higher elevation shooting rocks at distance with my 22 Creed, & confirming dial ups. New rifle is gonna be a little Reaper.

I run a Thunder beast Ultra 7 30 cal on my 20" 6CM Dead air TI XC works well also but the TB is my 6 Creed can.

I shot the .243 for a year before going back to 6.5mm and 7mm. We use our .30 cal cans for those cartridges, works great.

Don't overthink it.

My .223 bolt gun has a YHM R9 on it right now. Yes, that's a 9mm can. Yes, it's less than optimum. Yes, it still serves the purpose, though it's less than ideal in both weight and overall sound reduction.

Look at the Ecco Machine 5ti. Reasonable compromise on weight vs length and so on.

The worst-performing suppressor you can find is still a massive improvement over not having one at all. The bigger headache is length and weight, but with an 18" barrel you don't absolutely have to have the shortest/lightest for it to balance halfway decently well.

YMMV, a lot, don't buy this like it's a one and done purchase. Your collection will grow, unless you're a one-rifle man.
