I am getting a 16 in Tikka 223. I would like to get a suppressor for it. I've got a Lane for my .243 and would like to add one for this rifle. Any recommendations?

With a 16” barrel, I would be happy with any suppressor under 8” past the muzzle. But there are a ton of good 6” suppressors. And a couple of decent 4” options. I have a 7.62 caliber AB Raptor 10 with 5” reflex on my 16” Tikka .223. I like that combination a lot, even though it is long and heavy. For a range gun, I don’t want a thin, short, light suppressor (heats up too fast, not as quiet).
Is versatility important to you? Then get a .30 caliber can, not a dedicated .224 caliber can. If I was getting a 6” .30 caliber can, I would get an AB Raptor 8, a Reaper, an Ultra 7, or a Nomad Ti XC. I own the Raptor 8 and like it a lot on my 6.5 CM.
Are you hunting with it? Then you probably want a shorter, lighter can. There are several good short 6.5 options. The Airlock 6.5 and OG 6.5 are the frontrunners for short cans. Either would work well on a hunting .223 or .243.
Is maximum suppression important, without being too long? The AB Raptor 10 w/ 5” reflex in .224 will be 7” past the muzzle, weigh about a pound, and be very quiet (even quieter than my 7.62 caliber can, but not as versatile).
You should also look at the consolidated TBAC summit reports. Focus on the SE db or SE dbA ratings and compare them by length and weight to find the right one for you.

I hope that helps.
