Suppressor Cover Recommendations

Let's talk about a possible hunting scenario... an animal starts to hobble away after the shot. You can fire 3 to 6 more rounds at it (it is now 450 yards away and walking, that is why you use so many shots)

After 4 to 7 shots in a minute or so, will you see a mirage? Will you need a cover for this scenario?

Need a cover? Probably not at 450 yards, you could manage in most situations.

Yes, you will very likely see mirage. Its severity will depend on conditions and caliber. If there is already AZ mirage, the stacking of suppressor mirage can be very annoying.

Anything .308 case size and above I would want it covered.

But, I didn’t want to use the heavy strapy covers. I lost one to brush in AZ. Others slip.
