Assuming many/most of these will be out of state sales…Is there a 101-level walk-thru post or a sticky somewhere to help folks navigate the process of a nfa item sale from the classifieds, both buying and selling? Updates, links to official info sources, could be good response posts. Seems like a no-brainer sticky post in the new suppressor classifieds. Obviously with the caveat to check official sources, etc.

Step 1: find a buyer
Step 2: have them choose an FFL with an SOT
Step 3: have the FFL email you their FFL and SOT information, as well as their CLEO
Step 4: complete a form 4 to the FFL
Step 5: wait for approval (usually takes a day or 2). Send notification to CLEO
Step 6: upon approval, mail the suppressor to the FFL, including a copy of the FFL and SOT in the box (do NOT use usps for shipping)
