I finally got my harvestor 30 emailed silenceco they told me I could chop my win mag down to 20” so I had the smith chop it down I built some test rockets using 180 grain Berger elite pulled my reloading manual out and put some charges in and hit the range on second trip my second group showed some promise .61 I believe then on my second shot of the 3rd group all hell broke loose I’m glad I had safety glasses and hearing protection on silenceco believe it was a manufactured deafault and at this point they seem like they are Going to be great to work with

Holy mackerel! Bet that got your attention. Glad no one is hurt.

I’m not sure what they do I’m hoping that they destroy it and make me a new one with that serial and mail it to me I’m gonna be pretty pist if I have to wait another year to get a new one it has about 25 rounds down it

They are man made things happen I just hope they continue to be as good to deal with as it sounds so far I was pushing that 180 at about 2900 when it popped it definitely was not a contact since the bullet hit about a half inch off from my previous shot

Dude I blew up a Mk13 suppressor in 2012 - baffle strike. Threw the ocular lense into my eye pro and knocked me out...I now wear eye pro religiously. Two black eyes. Not fun. My team never let me live that down - we were training in NM doing some positional shooting on an unknown distance range.

Yikes, I would ask for a refund instead of another one. I would have a hard time focusing on the target and squeezing the trigger when I was more worried about wether or not the hand grenade on the end of my barrel was going to blow up.

Wow, any time a gun does something its not supposed to do is not a good thing. I would say you got lucky. It will be interesting how it all shakes out as far as getting a replacement.

Looks like material failure on the tube. Probably not the suppressor mfgs fault at all... just a bad chunk of tubing. I’d probably check the alignment of my barrel threads just to confirm it wasn’t a baffle strike.

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a strike the bullet hit good on paper pretty sure that burger would have Really come undone making contact at 2” past the barrel in a can

I have an Omega 30 , had it a few years now with no issues on 300WSM. Have a buddy who has blown 3 OF THEM with his 300 Win Mag tho. Silencerco replaced them all. Pretty ridiculous though.
