His arrogant ignorant ways would have me looking for a different team to cheer for. There is nothing to be proud of when a guy like him represents a team.

I have been a Seahawks fan for my whole life, long before Sherman, and will be long after he's gone. I would never even think about not rooting for the Hawks because of one players actions. He doesn't represent the the feelings of the team, and he said as much yesterday in his apology. If I wasn't a Seattle fan, I wouldn't like him either.

Oh, I'm sure he can spell his own name. He maintained somewhere around a 4.0 gpa at one of the most prestigious universities in the US. Doesn't make him any less of a douchebag though :)

Russell Wilson and Peyton Manning are both class acts. Sherman is the ultimate douchebag. I get being jacked up about making a play that puts your team in the Super Bowl. But plenty of other people have done that and haven't resorted to calling an opponent's player "sorry." I think the dude got lucky, he got beat on that play and if Capernick had led Crabtree more it would be a different story. And this isn't Sherman's first time doing this kind of stunt...this is par for the course with him. I get it the guy has a chip on his shoulder the size of Everest but it doesn't mean you need to be a classless winner. Truth is his antics and his attitude have made me hate the Seahawks...they talk and act like they've done something when they've never won a championship. I hope the Broncos knock some humility into them.

Hmmm, I see you're from New Orleans, any chance you're a Saints fan and have a biased opinion. This has all of the ingredients to be a fantastic game, GO HAWKS!

The fact that I'm a Saints fan doesn't change the reasons I think he's a douchebag. His antics are what has caused me to form my opinion. Pretty sure that I'm not alone in this opinion...especially outside the Seattle area.

I'll bet that you wouldn't be saying this if Sherman was wearing a Saints jersey, you'd be trying to explain his outburst just like all of us Seahawks fans are doing.

kinda why i brought up bounty gate. really? a saints fan talking about character and class? ( restricted to the nfl of course, not a personal attack) your head coach was paying guys to end peoples careers! but yeah your right. Sherman said some mean words in a cookie monster voice 5 minutes after winning the biggest game in his young career after a week of hype and shit talking about how much the two teams hate each other. way worse

I don't suppose any of you haters caught the back story that came out today? Turns out, Crabtree started this little feud last season, then he tried to push Sherman into a fight at a charity event over the summer. It just so happens that Sherman was wearing a mic during this last game. After the game, he walked up to Crabtree and told him good game, then Crabtree grabbed him by the face mask and pushed him away. Whose the douche now? Sherman graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA, then graduated Stanford at the top of his class. He grew up in Compton, and never got involved with the gangs, because he was too busy studying and playing ball. He often goes back to Compton to encourage kids to stay out of trouble and stay in school. He gives a lot of money to his foundation that helps under privileged kids go to college. He's a 25 year old black man that grew up in the ghetto. Now he has a degree from Stanford, and he's the best Cornerback in the NFL, on a team that is going to the Super Bowl. He made an emotional statement in the heat of the moment, and everyone hates him. My 8 year old son has a Sherman jersey that he wears all the time. I think he's a great role model. Just because somebody talks smack in a professional sport (like just about every NBA player), doesn't make them a bad person.

Sorry for the rant, but I thought everyone should know the whole story.

Again, if you think he was going up to Crabtree to wish him truly a good game you're kidding yourself. He has a history of gloating, self aggrandizing, and treating opponents with disrespect. Go back and see what he did to Tom Brady. Go watch his interview with Skip Bayless from last year. It's not about his trash talk (which everyone does). It's about his willingness to share his opinions about himself at the expense of others (including teammates) and about how he carries himself when he wins which is anything but gracious. I can promise you a vast majority of the players in the NFL feel the way Sherman does. Yet you don't hear the same stuff coming out of their mouths. Those are the problems the public has with Sherman. I know he's well educated, I know he does good things in the community, I know he's felt slighted many times throughout his career, and I know he's probably the best corner in the NFL. None of those things are at issue.

Brady started before the game. He told Sherman to come see him after the game. And he did just that. Again, haters going to hate. Have fun watching the saints continually get owned by the hawks for the next few years, you'll have plenty of opportunities to whine about Sherman

Your talking to a life long broncos fan. I just call bs when I see it

I'd like to know what the BS is? A lot of teams beat the Saints. This has nothing to do with the Saints. I can give you a list of other players I think are douchebags in plenty of other sports if you want. I think Richard Sherman is a douchebag. I have my reasons. Deal with it.

I bet Sherman can't even spell his own name..

Go Broncos!!

That statement couldn't be any further from wrong. He's probably actually in the top 10% as far as "smarts" in the NFL.

Do I agree with his after the game interview? No. Do I understand that there was a lot of emotion and adrenaline behind it? Yes

The bottom line is, ALL professional sports are full of scum bags these days, look at all the sex scandals, drug abuse, hell even murder (Ray Lewis anybody?). I'd say Sherman losing his cool in an interview isn't even that high up on the scale of F&%# ups by todays standards....that's the sad part.

Go Hawks by the way!
