Sunglasses!?

Another for Maui Jim.
Expensive, but hard to look through a different brands lenses after. I wear the green lenses literally all day and all night in the PNW.

I wore Oakleys for 20 years. Then I broke down and got some Maui Jim’s. I felt like I needed to apologize to my eyes for not doing it sooner.

I wear safety glasses for work everyday and the company provides them for free and encourages us to take safety gear home. So for me, it's the free tinted Nemesis glasses from Jackson.

It's nice not caring if they get scratched, lost, or whatever, just wish they were polarized.

Couple of things....go for the wraps for best coverage, and go WITH GLASS-- a couple of weeks into poly lenses and you'll see why. I prefer polarized lenses especially for fishing.
Glass lenses last decades with care, not days or weeks.

I have several pairs of them all. Best to least: Serengeti, Vuarnet, Smith, Ran Ban (think "Dirty Harry") Maui Jim, Costa Del Mar...in that order.
The Vuarnets are worth sourcing, fabulous glass and light to boot.
A sampling of my collection...

The Costco Maui's are NOT the same as ones you would buy from a RX or premium sunglasses shop. They are multiple steps below. ive had no issues with durability (I have 5 dif not costco pairs and drop them lense down more often than I'd like to admit) and when my brother and I rolled his jetski on a turn, my MJ stayed attached to my face while his Oakley sunk to the bottom of Lake Washington.
Its a joke comparing modern Luxottica owned brands to Mauis. Pick up a pair of Ray Bans from the early 2000s or before and a set made today. Newer ones just feel cheap with sub par thin glass.
Grab a pair of plastic Oakley that cut into your ear from left over burrs (i miss my gas can s) and mediocre lenses for nearly the same price as Maui's and tell me you got your moneys worth.

I've got several pairs of Costa's and a pair of Smiths. Different colors for different conditions. I've been transitioning to glass from poly in the last couple years, and I think the optics really are superior.
Smith's got a pinkish red lens that is the most versatile lens I've used. You aren't blinded on a sunny day, and you can still see on a dreary day. I wear them in all but the most extreme lighting conditions. They call the lens color 'ignition' or something along those lines.

Check out Goodr, definitely tailored to the younger crowd but I run and workout with mine every day with no issues. They're super light and fit well, for $25 it's all I take in the back country.
