Hey guys so I bought a summit ssp tripod. The actual tripod seems to be well made for the weight of it but the handle for the head of the tripod seems to be in a odd spot ? I feel it should be back towards the user not on a slope down and off to the side? Am I missing something here?? Can the head be replaced ?

Turn your adapter plate on your optic so that it loads from the left. Then the handle will be toward the user

Yeah I think you just need to rotate the QR plate on your optic. I have mine so that it's horizontal to the optic, rather than running inline with the scope length wise, if that makes sense.

I did try that awhile ago and it seemed to not have the stability turned 90degrees
