Suggestions for for elderly lady, 18 WY points, likely her last elk hunt.

And why hasn’t she saved for it, since she grew old collecting points, and hasn’t spent money on an elk hunt in 18 years?
My goodness, some snark here. She hunts multiiple species in multiple states. Their trophy room is impressive. Just never got around to WY until now. She did an expensive CO LE hunt last year.

Sure are a lot of judgemental know it alls here and it certainly is not one bit helpful. Why not move on if you have nothing positive to say? I have piles of points in many states, even though I’ve hunted 22 states with said points over the last 30 years. And if I don’t draw something good I go to Alaska. Add to that 7 Canadian provinces and Africa. Just because you have a lot of points for something doesn’t mean you have not been hunting enough to deserve the tag…do better.

Physical therapy and training until whatever hunt she decides on.

If 18 points gets a premium unit there will be premium prices attached!
Shes been doing PT for several years since the injury. Her ankle is now fused. Did a high dollar CO elk hunt last year where she was hiking 3-4 miles a day. They understand outfitted hunt prices, just looking for the best bang for the buck. She already has a 360 bull on the wall, so she didnt just fall off a beet truck.

Very interesting and unhelpful responses in the mix here. The OP has provided more help to prospective elk hunters than 99% of people on this site. He's not looking for honey holes and he's actually just trying to be helpful to someone in need of a little guidance.

Crazy idea- if your reply isn't helpful, maybe just skip it.

Jaq, good luck on your effort to help the gal. Merry Christmas!

Thanks, Scott. There are always a couple in every crowd, eh? Hope you and the family had a great Christmas!
