Hey guys, so this is my second time getting drawn for Kapowsin Spring Bear. My buddy and I rode our bicycles roughly 4 miles up a walk-in road. We stashed our bikes and walked up an old over grown logging road for another mile maybe a little more. We spotted the bear as it was feeding towards us down a grassy section of the road that was full of alders. It was tough to get a shot because of all of the alders. The bear finally stood broadside but I had one branch in the way preventing me from taking the shot. Then it put up its head and winded us. As it turned away to run I took a hard quarting shot that ended up entering just in front of the back leg and exited behind the front shoulder. It ran down a hill and only made it about 50yds. One of my most enjoyable bear hunts!
