I will add this to the mix, I have a couple of the Tract Turion 3 - 9 x 40mm scopes, the Tract Response is supposed to be the equivalent, if so, the 10% off sale this weekend would lead me down that path over the Burris I previously posted.

Starting this Friday, May 26th, and running through Monday, May 29th, TRACT will be running a 10% Off Site-Wide Memorial Day SALE!
This does include preorders for the new Toric UHD 4-25x50 as well.
Discount Code: REMEMBRANCE

Discount cannot be combined with any other offer and is not valid on items within the outlet or have already been marked down.

I have a Burris Fullfield II on a 30-06 and it has performed flawlessly in some very challenging conditions. I would not hesitate to buy another. I didn't care for the E1 reticle and went instead with the standard duplex crosshair.

Same on the E1 reticle. I bought one and sold it after looking through the scope a few times. Happy with FFII for the price.

Another vote for the Burris FF. I've got one in 3-9x on my kid starter rifle and it's been stellar for the money if you aren't looking to dial distance.

Fixed 4x Leupold might be a good option as well, but I'd definitely avoid all the current variable power ones.

A used Trijicon accupower or credo 3-9 would also be very much worth a look.

I have had good luck with my lower end vortex scopes. In fairness, I have had some troube with their other gear which they replaced under warranty. My 22 squirrel assassinator wears a cross fire And is great for a bit of dialing now and then.
