ALOT of Strykers for sale in the classifieds today. Lol

Kifaru has that marketing plan nailed down. Come out with something new every few months and all the fanboys instantly sell their perfectly good pack to get the next best pack.

I swear, 90% of kifaru users never put more than a season (if they even hunt, seems like lots of collectors) on their bags before going for the newest model.

Nothing wrong with it, I just get a kick out of it.

those who have used the Stryker, is the bag secure and not "floppy" when running with just day gear? I read a few complaints of this.

I have read these complaints too. But I feel like they must not have been running compression straps right 🤷‍♂️

I tighten mine right down, no issues

Move the straps from the back of the bag to the front and it solves a lot of it. You have to adjust the buckles
Was hoping someone would be able to tell me. I'm too new to understand the slight changes they made from one to the other.
500ish more CI, side pockets and a little bigger sling

@Bloodsoakedberber ah gotcha, taken off Kifaru insiders page on FB "We created the "Newplex" version which is identified by 3/4" webbing. The "Duplex" 1" version has one-size shoulder straps while the "Newplex" has Short & Long shoulder straps options"

Seems like I should save myself the $100 then and put that towards the extra cost of the multicam pattern. Thanks.

I currently run a cargo panel on a duplex hunter frame. I was thinking about picking up a stryker when the used one started to pop up.I only use it to haul meat . I run a guide lid on top the cargo panel to carry my kill kit and it works great. I'm surprised you don't hear of guys using the guide lid more often with the stryker.

Ive done it. It gets kinda strapy. I usually run a couple pouches on the outside. I love the bane or guide lid with my cargo net tho

The straps are tools to me. My setup is a cargo panel guide lid and a grabit on top of the cargo panel..
All the straps help position and control the quarters and gear when I pack meat out.

Looks like a great pack. Just got my Stryker in a couple weeks ago but won’t be putting mine up for sale lol. Loved dealing with Kifaru though it was my first purchase

I wish they could come out with a reckoning that could attach/detach as quickly as the stryker XL. I was surprised to see the stryker XL weighs 2 pounds, 9.6 ounces and is only 1500 CI. The reckoning comes in at 2 pounds 13oz and is 5000 CI (6500 CI when the lid isn't rolled down). Im sure there are reasons that are beyond my level of comprehension why they can't design that. I liked the stryker design when it came out, but also felt it was too small to be functional for me.

IF I was going to get the stryker, it would definitely be the XL. Where I think it would shine would be a day pack for shed hunting, eastern deer hunting with treestands/blinds, climbers etc, and day hunts out west for mule deer, elk, antelope.

Instead of looking at another bag though...im going to drop my reckoning overall weight by removing two of the three med pouches I have attached at the bottom, and just run the one in the center. I think my bag will compress better without the other pockets in the way. The center one will hold the first aid kit most of the time, and can hold the rifle stock when the gun doesn't need to be available in the gun bearer. Just talking myself out of a stryker xl is the intent here....so I digress...LOL.
