I just finished my second practice string, and I am really liking it!
I am still meticulously getting the tightness for the serving right. My nock fit is close with 22 strands and the .014. I might run one serving string underneath the .014 serving for the right nock fit. But I can do that on the real string. I believe I am ready to start on the first real string!

Here is what my second practice string looks like. Way better than the first. I am being meticulous with string wrap closeness with the right tension...

Okay, I just finished my first real top string. It came in between 1/8"-5/32" too long
Butch Baker said his 80" strings needed to subtract 1/4". But he said to watch 40", 60", and 80" strings. Mine was 57" in the 60 category and right on par for what Baker was saying.
I will redo the top string next week but 5/32" shorter from the formula.
And my cables are 40.5". I will make them 1/16" shorter than the formula.
I will keep you all informed.

So what I just said is, I will start deducting from the formula based on string length.
In other words,
40" strings will be shortened 1/16"
60" strings will be shortened 1/8"-5/32"
80" strings will be shortened 1/4"

I will refine these as I go. And keep in mind this is 452x. Also, I am measuring string length at about 100 lbs. I will keep you all informed.

But the string looks great!
