"Stretchy" Belt?

Silly question - I know there are all kinds of fancy/heavy duty belts out there, but.....are there any that have any stretch built in? I normally wear the belt from my baseball gear, as it is very stretchy and therefore very comfortable. The problem is that the elastic wears out after a while, and they need to be replaced every couple of years (no worries as I have a ton of baseball gear, but....). Also, the adjustment, while nearly infinite....the buckles the elastic slides through can be a little uncomfortable if the backpack is up against it or something. One last thing, is the baseball belt isn't really good for putting anything on it, knives, etc. I usually carry that stuff in my pack, but.....I was just wondering if there is anything out there that has the comfort of stretchiness but has a little more durability.

I have both the Kuiu and Sitka belts and love them. While not stretchy per se, they have infinite adjustment and it's easy to find a comfortable setting. They will lock in as well and support as much weight as you can throw at them.

Check out the core 4 belt,its like the sitka at half the price

Check out the Genius belt at Eddie Bauer. $25 bucks and it does have a little stretch to it. Low profile buckle that won't get in the way with backpacking.

I will have to look into that Eddie Bauer belt. In my opinion the sitka, core 4 (think they are all made by Bison Designs) and any belt like them with the same type of buckle loosen over time. I like the Kuiu most because it will not loosen.

I agree with Dover. I have the Core4 and KUIU and they come loose when cinching a pack. The test is to pull towards buckle from both pelvis bones and see if it comes loose. I have one I love with a plastic DuraTech cam down buckle. It is a little narrower and in camo. REally stays put, is light and strong. Private labeled by Sportsmans Warehouse but somebody must make them. Another nice feature is I can wear on an airplane trip and not have to remove my belt.

If anyone find them I would buy more.

Im a huge fan of the Eddie Bauer stretchy belt. Its very easy on and off and in my mind has the perfect amount of stretch.

Not living near an Eddie Bauer, it took me a while to check out the belt, but I finally was able to. It looks like it may be the ticket! My only observation is that it did seem a little bit thin, and I am curious how it would do with "stuff" hanging off of it, knives, etc...

Another observation....at first I thought it may be difficult to manage the buckle, but then I realized they have it set up to be configured once, then you just use the "quick release" hook/loop. Slick set up!

I have the Eddie Bauer genius belt and it is awesome! Only thing I didnt like was the loose tag end which i fixed by mimicking Mountain Hardwear's alloy nut belt design which secures the tag end. This belt is awesome doesn't loosen up like other belts I have and the easy on/off hook makes it the best outdoor belt I've come across

If i'm wearing a backpack i want a low profile buckle and the Kifaru is the best i've found, very adjustable and stays put. Stretch in a belt seems counterintuitive to me.
