Strapping trekking poles to pack

I haven't found a good way to strap poles to my pack so they're easy to access. I use them as a front rest and want to keep the loops crossed and able to get off the pack quickly for a shot set up. Even better if I can take them off my pack for a creek crossing without dropping the pack. Any suggestions?

I have a Mystery Ranch Selway 60.

My pack, like many, has a water bottle holder on the side at the bottom. Flip the poles upside down, stuff the handles in the bottle holder, and strap those bad boys down. Only takes one buckle to attach and detach them.
