Hey guys I was wondering what size stove yall prefer in seek Redcliff or similar size shelter? Seek suggest a large. I like their stoves but was really wanting one with at least some glass to see fire. All the stoves I see with glass are big and bulky. Was wanting around 4lbish range. Hoping someone knows of such that I may have overlooked. Thanks always..

Assume you're just after aesthetics with the glass door? You'll get some fire flicker through the gaps of a Seek Outside box stove, gaps in the door and the air vent.

Never used a stove in a tipi but have lots of experience with wall tents. I also have Common sense and mechanically inclined.

Exactly, I thought about just opening the door. I do this in my wall tent .

I think I'm gonna use the seek large titanium. I just hear way too many GOOD things about them versus Cons. I have also never had to deal with their customer service, but I hear it is second to none.

I have a lite-outdoors one that works fine. I probably would've went with the SO version had I redone it though. The cylinder stove is a pain in the ass to put together but it is super light. Something you can use for spike camp but you're not setting it up and taking it down everyday.

If you get a seek large stove you can have the folks at one day glads cut you a piece of glass that can handle 1200 degrees that’ll fit into the stove so you can see the fire. There’s a good thread about it on Seeks adventure Facebook page, just type in modification and it’s like the second returned search. I use a large stove for my lbo and 6 person Tipi, it’s perfect. Good luck with your search.

I did this and it's great!. Adds a few ounces but I felt it's worth it for the lighting and ambiance.

I have a piece of glass from my SXL that I sold - if you're interested PM me. I was going to try to make it work on my Mamba stove but probably will just order new glass if I can sell this one.
It's 8.5" x 5" pyroceram with flat grind on all edges and two 1/8" holes just like the SO Ti door.
