I have a Seek Outside 6 man tipi on its way soon. Although I'm struggling on which stove to go with. I am looking at the large titanium box stove which they have in stock 30 oz or wait on the SXL stove they have at 38oz. This would mean I can't use this archery season, but at the price of the stove, I want to get the right one for years to come. They also have a XL at 44 oz I believe (is it worth the extra 14oz above the large and 6 above the SXL?, especially if I get a 2 man?). All weights don't include pipe. Will be using in Montana from Archery to Rifle including some winter camping trips, mostly all Back country. Most of the time 2 people will be using this setup, sometimes 3. May take solo, and hopefully in future I can get a small 1/2 man tipi. Any thought those who have these setups?

Thank-you!!!

I went through the same decision-making on my SO-6 recently. A couple days ago I ordered the SXL. Might be a little bit overkill. I went back and forth weighing the extra half-pound of weight, to the potentially longer burn times. I also weighed some favor in a bit larger cooking surface on top.

SXL was in stock as I had a shipping notification in less than 24 hours. Mine is on the UPS truck, should be along next week. We'll see how it goes. Looking forward to it.

Good for you!!.. I think it makes sense to
wait as I was coming to the same conclusion as you, unless someone else says the large is the way to go. I think the XL will be way overkill and to much weight. Thanks for your reply

A couple other thoughts I considered,

Another pro for the Large, besides lighter weight, would be a bit smaller packed size, roughly 2" narrower. A little more pack-space friendly.

Another pro on the SXL, I figure if the wind kicks up pretty bad, the wider footprint of the SXL might be more stable if things get to rocking around some....maybe a non-issue but it did cross my mind.
