For those of you who are running a Mega, do you think it's big enough to DIY a stove jack in the middle of the shelter (tight against one of the vertical walls) and still have enough room for a guy on either end? I've been running a ST for 5-6 years and really like it, but am thinking about a size upgrade to the Mega. In looking at pics, it looks like there might be enough room to run a para or a small in the middle. If there's enough room, that would give you a centralized stove and avoid the space heater effect of the stove all the way up in the annex.

Just thinking out load here. Any thoughts?

I've only slept in the Mega once (I own the SuperTarp and 4-Man Tipi), but I think it would be too tight in there. I think Kifaru got it right with the annex/stove placement. Also, I've found that during fall/winter weather, when you really want to be burning a K stove, you want a little extra room inside to stage gear and get things dried out. So I personally wouldn't do it.

I own the Mega and run a kifaru stove in the annex. I think CrzyTrekker nailed it. I don't think there would be enough room for all your gear, wood and a bedroll for one guy, let alone two, if you're running the stove in the middle. i think the size of the mega is perfect for 2 guys, their gear and the stove in the annex; it's small enough that the stove heats up the space quick!
