I decided to tackle my storage room over the weekend. The room has general household stuff but also it is where I store my hunting and fishing gear. After clearing it out completely I started searching the interwebs to see what kind of storage ideas are out there for the outdoorsman type. Whoa, some of the images were impressive. Most of them were about 50 grand above my budget. I'm not looking to get crazy, just organized.

This got me thinking, what do real dudes(and ladies) hunting storage look like. I imagine it's all pretty similar but figured I see what's out there.

I've started to put it back together but am stuck on how I want to store my archery equipment. It is a small space (house utility room as well) but it will work if I am creative.

Let's see what you guys have going on!

Don’t overlook hanging stuff from the ceiling. It is the most underrated area in the entire house. Just try to use it for stuff you only need once or twice a year.

Shelves and bins. I like the rubbermaid brute totes. I have yet to ruin one. They arent cheap but they last.
I also use the same totes in my cabin and pickup truck. I like shelving with wheels so I can movevthem around. I do have a closet in my house that has hanging clothes and totes just stacked up. All my totes are the same so they stack good.

Like others have mentioned, I use a bunch of the black and yellow storage bins, labeled with what's in them.
-Winter gear
-Whitetail gear
- Out west stuff
-Ropes, harnesses, tree stand gear
Etc, Etc.....

I have space in the garage under the steps to store stuff in. One thing that i use now is clear totes. It makes it really easy to see what is in the totes.

Timely post. I was looking at my stuff and noticed the vast majority of my gear boxes are filled with mostly air. I need to condense big time.

Black/yellow totes are usually cheaper at costco... They sell metal racks you can stack them in... Label them so you do not waste time opening them every time you need one item. I bring the bins with me to base camp to make it easier to move gear around in the car/trailer.
