Storage Bin Options

I have the plano sportsman, and over the years the rear hinge area has separated and it doesn't seal well. I also have the rubbermade that are pretty durable. However, the last few years i have been storing my stuff in the black and yellow bins from home depot and they work great and are durable. I drove home from OKC to Austin yesterday in some terrible storms and 30-40 MPH wind gusts and everything was dry after being in the back of my truck for 6 hours of hard rain.

I use rubbermaid brute totes. Or roughneck if I can find them. I started using smaller 20 or 30 gallon totes as they are easier for me to move around. I try and buy better quality as I found the cheaper ones get brittle in cold weather.

I have a couple of these that I use when camping from the truck.

Sturdy, not too spendy, hold a ton of stuff. Waterproof gasket seal...

+1 on these too. I have one that I use to haul my mobile butcher kit in. Very sturdy but be careful not to overload it.

Someone mentioned the container store clear ones. I used a couple of those but they got very brittle when cold and cracked. Not sure it was the same kind you use but they were fine around the house but didn’t last a season in the truck bed.
