Feeling like sheep season is too far away, a few more pics from our stone sheep hunt this year.

After ten days it was nice to get back to the launch

A couple rams skylined, we made a stalk but no luck. Never saw the one on the right again

small band of rams on day 3, heavy oe from previous pic was still around, couldnt get a clear age on him

our favorite glassing spot

The weight never felt so good

Great photos, the Ram is 8 1/2. My dream hunt would be a Stone Sheep hunt.

I know the "pain and satisfaction" look on your face in the photo with the pack on. :)

I have not been able to get it off work last year or this year. I hear it has gotten a lot better since they moved it down to Kelowna.

What did the ci age your ram at? I have heard some weird ages come from those guys. Were you guys looking for two rams or was your buddy just a packer?

We just couldnt put it together on another ram, had lots of opportunities though. I haven't heard of anything planned from WSSBC Buster.

CI aged it at 9 which is what I had as well, but im no expert by any means.

Buster,

The idea of a "pub night" type event has been tossed around as a primer to keep interest up and generate some membership throughout the year. Looked at a Kootenay, Van Isle, FSJ/Dawson/PG sort of road show. Still in the idea stage though. Would be like a mini, one night convention with draw prizes/raffles/society updates etc.

RStag- nice ram! :) Who CI'ed it?

Rory Smith in summerland. Here is how I aged it according to how I was taught. There is always such a wide range of opinions on ageing it seems. I would be worried bout shooting an 8yr old sheep that wasn't full curl for that reason.

RStag, I wasn't slagging the CI, just curious if I knew the CI (I don't).

TK_ I guess you could argue that the ram was in his 9th year... :)

The local guy here rounds up as well, ie, an 8 1/2 year old gets marked down as 9.

Would love to see a one night event. Fernie would be awesome, but Cranbrook would be more realistic. Lots of sheep guys over here.

This how is I would age him by Alaskan standards and I'm no expert, if anyone disagrees, please correct me, I'm here to learn too. Beautiful Ram and I'm only posting because the OP ask for age options.
