Stone Glacier Water Bottle options?

Definitely helps explain. The trouble is that the Nalgene just barely fits, and takes both hands pretty much to get it in there, and then it's still a pretty floppy setup. A flexible water bottle seems like it would work way better, and basically eliminate what I think is a bad setup (for me).

Makes sense. It looks like pods8 has a better solution for a Nalgene bottle. Hopefully that will work better for you.

I’ve got one from pods8 as well and it’s perfect. Keeps the water right where I want it and it’s sturdy.

Like another poster in this thread, I jerry-rigged a Kifaru bottle holder to the hip belt. I haven't field tested, as my SG was an Xmas present, but it seems with how far forward the double straps are that you would continually be hitting it with your arm as you hike. The pals webbing on my older pack allowed for the bottle to sit farther back on the belt so this wasn't an issue. I like pods8's solution more than the Kifaru situation I have right now, but it wouldn't change the positioning at all. Does anyone have experience with this?

I have the SG Hydro Holster and like every one else here I don't like it. I have tried it with a Nalgene, and with a Vapur bottle and it sucks no matter what. Im also not a fan of all the extra webbing it introduces into the system, which overcomplicates an otherwise very simple pack. I'm gonna have to get one of Pod8's holsters...looks like exactly what I need.
