I have been comparing the two of these bags and doing more research on them then I care to admit. Yet here I am and I just cannot seem to pull the trigger on one. I was able to look at the stone glacier bag and frame(thanks Matt) and I really like the weight and simplicity of the system. However I would be lying if I didn't say the frame system left something to be desired in terms of structure and am unsure yet of long-term reliability as these packs haven't been around that long. I also like the option of having the load shelf if needed. I understand Kurt's customer service is excellent so that is a plus but I know Kifaru packs have stood the test of time. I really do like the modularity of kifaru packs. While I have never actually put one on, the suspension is something that everyone seems to like.

I spoke in depth to Matt(Muleman) on the differences between the two and would like to hear from others who have owned both packs on what their opinion is. I know this topic gets beat to death but I sure would appreciate some input.

Thanks

Joe

Hard to decide huh, I feel your pain. Too bad you didn't come over a few months ago when I had both on hand. Maybe someone in Northern Utah or Southern Idaho has a Duplex that they could show you.

Buy both and return the one that didn't make the cut ;) I have never tried, held or even looked at stone glacier but only hear good things. I have a dt1 and nomad and love the versitility.
