Hey Kurt,

I did have one question... Do you offer different belt sizes on the frame? I looked on your site, but did not see that option.
Aron,
If there are any specific questions you have on the design or function that may help with your review, feel free to contact me via email or phone. Luke will receive his pack for review mid January when the next production run is delivered. His pack will have the updated lumbar support option available for all packs, I would be happy to fill you in on that as well if you are interested. Thanks for taking the time to review the pack.

Aron,
There is just one size right now. I am looking at producing a larger belt in the future, however there has been little to no interest in a larger belt as of yet.

Aron,
I have followed Rokslide since your launch, a mutual friend turned me on to it, although I waited to October to register. I don't post much on any of the forums I am member of, but enjoy conversations.

I have only hauled one animal out with the Stone Glacier pack and it was a dinky lil buck I managed to take on Prince of Wales and only a 1/4 mile pack out. Hardly a test. I look forward to running the gen 2 Stone Glacier trough a bit more rigorous test. Thus far, I think they are WAY cool packs for the weight. Given the choice between a Stone Glacier and a KU 5200, thus far I'd go Stone Glacier, Timberline and Stone Glacier, I think the edge goes to Timberline simply because of the way the Kifaru waistbelt fits me. That said the Gen 2 lumbar support and what not of the Stone Glacier could change that all up, plus getting it fit right in person by the man himself wouldn't hurt either. ;)

I'll keep ya posted when i have more to report. Overall I really like the idea of the pack and look forward to seeing and using more of the Stone Glacier pack. But my Kifaru packs ain't going anywhere anytime soon either. I'll keep you guys posted on my thoughts the more I get to use the pack and compare it heads up to my Timberline 7200.

Kurt I totally plan on investing in one of your packs. I plan on the Terminus as for me 6000cbi is a minimum for hauling meat and camp. The shelf will be a bonus and I love how it compresses for the day hunting in brush and timber. Looks like a winner to me.

A lot of hype on these packs. I hope that they live up to expectations because it would save me $100 and more than three pounds. Can't wait for all the reviews.
Good job Kurt on making a quality packs that competes with the best

Salmo, not going to wait for the review?

Review will be out about the same time I plan on buying. I have faith in kurts product. It's gonna be very interesting none the less. But its still gonna be one mans review. What works for one dosen't for another. I once read a review buy a very well respected guy here on RS about REI's 85XLT I think its called. I even PM'ed him asking questions and received a thumbs up. That REI 85XLT or whatever it is went into the mountains with us last fall. It was simply put the biggest piece of shitt pack I've ever seen used. Buckles were poppin, zippers were junk and stiching was failing under a 100# load.

I take reviews with a grain of salt. I doubt Kurt is gonna put a $600 price tag on a pack thats gonna give him grief with customers. I believe its solid and design is in my wheelhouse. Perfect for me. I'm still looking forward to review but, l'm pretty much sold. If it dosen't work out for me I'll take a small loss and sell it to someone who will prolly love it. And I'll start looking again! :)

I wish we'd had the same "luck". REI's money back dosen't do a guy any good on the mountain. Sorry Aron but if I'm you the words REI 85XT would never leave my mouth again. JMO/JME

Did you try it before heading up the mountain?

Maybe I got lucky, but my buddy is still using mine and it has seen over 10 pack outs......

I just read through the reviews on that pack, and they seem to have a lemon from time to time.....you got one!

Lots of 5 star reviews too, so who knows, but a very good example of why you shouldn't skimp on a pack.

Doubt the 5 stars do what we do. It cruised just fine several times with camp and food for extended trips. But add a boned out buck and it shreaded. I wouldn't send my worst enemy in the hills with a possible lemon. Just the way I am. Well ok maybe my worst enemy! :) My partner had one load lifter strap remaining. Every other strap was smoked. I used to run a Mars here and there too. An REI pack is just roulette. Hence why the words REI made pack should be forgot. JM2C
