Stone Glacier...Krux Evo vs. X-Curve

I recently decided to upgrade packs and bought both frames as well. I have a curved back and with 50lbs going on a 4 mile hike I can really feel the difference between the two frames for me. The Xcurve fits like a glove and doesn’t feel like I am carrying the same amount of weight. I only used one bag with the weight so everything was exactly the same and no other variables.

This thread had helped me decide on Xcurve. I don’t have any stone glacier retailers near me so can’t try them out.

If your lady is jealous of your bubble butt... the the XCurve is definitely for you 😂.

Mine fits like a glove and is the first pack I've tried that doesn't pull away from my back when heavily loaded. Weight is nicely distributed along my hips.

Re "flat back" vs a "curved back"... I was told to stand with my back against the wall. If I can fit my hand between the wall and the small of my back, I have a "curved back". If I can't, my back is pretty flat. Is that still the standard way to measure this?
I bought both and kept the X-Cruve 5900. I would second this statement. If you can't fit your fist between the wall and your back smoothly, go with the X-Curve. The X-Curve fits better than the Krux with a 50lb sandbag, and I honestly think this is a good indicator of a curved vs flat back.

I bought the small waist belt, as it was on sale (and technically my size), and it fits great. Will be ordering a medium and seeing how it fits/likely better for heavier packouts.

For Reference, I'm 5'10, 175, 31-inch waist and 9ish % Body fat.
