I've only limited experience with a buddies terminus so take it for what it's worth, but I recall the main pack bag being 500d cordura and the load shelf/krux frame having the xpac.
I think I'll go with grey for when I hunt the mountains (or if there are any cool guys around) and find a camo rain cover for when I hunt in the jungle. Seems like it is always raining when I hunt moose and caribou. All the cool guys run grey packs...
My buddy and I both use the KUIU pack covers on our Sky 7400s. We bought them in XL, mine is Stone his is in Spruce. We have several seasons of use with them and really like how they work.

Same here. Good fit and lightweight.
Thanks for the reply Kurt. I guess if I would have looked more closely at the photos I would have seen those lower loops. Sorry for any redundancy I may have caused. I'm excited to get my archer!Hunt_or_Bust, the buckles that attach to the lid to the front of the pack are quick detach and there are two upper loops and two lower loops. These buckles can be moved easily in the field depending on the amount of compression you need. Typically we send the 7400 out with them attached to the top loops, the 6200 and 5100 on the bottom loops. You can get full compression even with an empty pack from the lower point, from what you describe you won't need to add any loops. As far as the waterproof qualities of the fabric, as mentioned by Yellowknife, the grey Cordura 500 is water repellant, but not waterproof. In very wet conditions like coastal or Alaskan hunts, we do suggest a pack cover. The cordura will do well with moisture, but can become saturated in sustained rain. The black X-pack fabric is 100% waterproof, we use this on the back of the pack which is against the load shelf, and on the bottom of the packs. Your Sky Archer will have an outer layer of cordura on the bottom panel, and an interior layer of X-pac.
Feel free to contact me at [email protected] if there are any specifics I can help with.

Just ordered a Sky 7400. Most money I've spent on anything other than a rifle, excited to say the least.
Awesome man!! Don't think you'll be disapointed.
Looking forward to putting it through its paces. Just hoping the belt style fits me, haven't found anything that works well for me so far. Liked my Kifaru stuff but couldn't keep the belt on my hips and hurt to walk in. Just another step in the evolution I guess.
