WTS Stocky’s VG Tikka stock - RH

Stocky’s VG Tikka stock. Right hand, Sendero barrel channel. It’s got some nice customizations: 2 T nuts for front Arca /pic rail, built out the grip for a 1.75” trigger reach, added vibration dampening compound in the butt, and refilled with foam. Custom paint job done by me with Aluma-Hyde. Weighs right at 40 oz. $350 tyd.

Is it a fiberglass version or something? Why is it so heavy. They’re normally 24oz or so

No, it’s carbon fiber. IIRC, this stock was between 26 & 27 oz as it came from Stocky’s. I built out the grip, and that added 2.5 oz or so. Inside the buttstock, I removed the factory foam, and poured in a compound for vibration dampening, and then refilled the remaining area with expanding foam.



I was surprised when I put it on the scale that it weighs what it does. Of course I knew it was heavier, but didn’t realize it would be basically 40 oz. If one desired, a few ounces of the dampening material could probably be removed. It does shoot nice tho.

Wow that really added a lot of weight. I’ve had a couple of these and they were between 24-27 oz depending on the barrel profile it was made for. Is it possible to remove all that stuff that’s adding weight besides the grip? I would be interested if it was under 30oz
