Stockys VG stock barrel channel tikka

Im looking to grab a new VG stock for a T3X superlite and am considering getting one with the roughtech barrel contour to give me more options down the road if I switch barrels. Does anyone have a picture of a superlite barrel in a roughtech barrel channel?

I’m in the same boat and haven’t found any answers. Is the Roughtech barrel channel larger than the lite sporter?

Yes it is.

There is zero downside to simply getting a sendero now.

I ended up sticking with the factory sporter barrel channel since the primary purpose of this rifle is to be lightweight. The stockys barrel channel is a little tighter than I like but the barrel is free floated and it takes a significant amount effort to tweak the stock to make contact with the barrel.

I'm in the same boat right now. Want the lighter weight but good free float, and I'm not waiting for a rokstock.

Did you end up needing to sand the channel or make any mods? Have you noticed the stock touching in any shooting position?

Do you mind posting a couple pics of the barrel channel?

I will take some pictures today. I haven’t sanded the barrel channel yet because I wanted to see how it shot first. Ive only shot it once since adding the stockys and honestly, aside from a better “feel” when shooting, I didn’t see any noticeable improvement in accuracy so I will probably open the channel up just to be sure nothing touches the barrel when shooting.

As far as making mods to the stock, I did modify the grip to improve my trigger finger position and added marine tex to improve the grip areas because the stock is very slick then added some color to hide some of the carbon.

What grip tape did you use?
