Stockys Stocks

Mine finally got here today, no recoil lug. I called Stocky’s and they said I’m on a list for them to ship out a recoil lug when they get them. Also… I added a little more black webbing to mine, as one side had a lot less than the other. Found a Rustoleum Marble spray paint can that worked perfectly.

I absolutely love the trigger reach on this stock. Apparently the Stocky’s haters have small hands that smell of cabbage.

Got mine for my model 70 6.5 prc. Bolted right in and didn't even have to sand the barrel channel. Minor blemishes in the paint but it's not a safe queen. I am very happy with it.

Good stocks for the price. Fwiw, they benefit from being bedded. I just need them to go on sale again so I can pick up another

Well after getting a little sweaty shooting at 6000ft with high UV conditions... I elected to try my luck at arts and crafts again. Bought the 5"x7" Talon Grip rubber sheet and cut it do cover the grip area... I have a bit remaining to do the forend too, but I didn't' want to over do it and have something that looked tacky. I've used this same Talon grip stuff for an older Gen 3 Glock 17, and its been 2 or 3 years with about 1500 rounds through it, still holding up just fine. Apply with a blow dryer and it gets a little more stretchy and easier to go around curves and etc.

I’m still waiting on mine too. Wish I had it to see if I really like it then I’d buy at least a couple more while they’re on sale.

Mine came in the specified time frame. It’s a solid stock. Couple things to nit pick: no recoil lug and no communication informing me it was in order, action inlet appears to be too deep. The left side of the stock completely covers the stamped serial number. The rear of the action sits below the surface of the stock. Mountain tactical bottom Metal and stock magazine would not latch until I put several thickish shims under it. I have carefully dremeled out the front of the bottom metal inlet to get it to sit forward enough as well. I’m not complaining just informing others of potential issues. Other than those it appears to be a real solid stock that ain’t perfect but blows the doors off the tikka factory stock.

Mine was virtually the same. Got beretta branded bottom metal. I understand it is just mountain tactical made for oem. Had to inlet where the mag latch is inletted to let bottom metal slide forward enough. Just slowly sanded and kept test fitting. My serial numbers are covered as well. What did you shim? My mags will click in but seems to need a good bit of force to get there. Seems to feed fine. Was it between the stock and bottom metal at the front action screw?

It’s supposed to come with a UM recoil lug. Call them and they’ll send you one. At least that’s what others have done that didn’t get one.

Seems like this would be a great option for bedding. Install some pillars at the desired height and bed.
