Stockys Stock with Atlasworxs Bottom Metal

I am upgrading Savage short action rifle to a modern composite stock with DBM. It appears that the Atlasworxs bottom metal fits with the 4.40” action screw spacing, but I’m wondering about the fit of the bottom metal into the inlet of the Stockys VG-2 carbon stock? Hoping it’s close to perfect, only minimal sanding needed, but any experience would be helpful. Hoping to minimize stock alterations but if not make a good choice on the stock finish if I need to touch it up after fitting. Thanks!
