I gotta give ya propz on the Giraffe Design! That is Fresh as Hell!
And I'll bet if that same pattern was done, but with colors more akin to what you'd find out here in the SouthWest... it'd likely be a great pattern for out here too, when ya think about what kinda vegetation they walk thru in the Savanah, and what we have here in SoCal.
I have tried a few methods of stock painting, from adding a simple "marbelizing" splatter paint in silver/white/black, to progressively wrapping "scrubber yarn" around the stock as I add different camo colors (as seen on the green/black rifle in the pics), to sponge painting. Everything gives a different look, so just have fun experimenting with different techniques. After all, it's only paint and you can always start over if you're not happy with it!
Wash with warm soapy water and rinse. Scuff with scotch pad and Final clean with alcohol.. start with self etching primer or plastic adhesion promoter if plastic. Then paint with any ole spray you want.....
There is a guy on longrangehunter who will do all this for you, for cheaper than you can buy the paint. Unless you really just want to try it yourself
