Have a rifle with a pretty rough/ sticky action. It’s only got about 200 rounds down the tube. Is there a way to smooth out that action?

What action is it?
Before you get too far....have you checked for bolt contact from the base and or action screws? A screw a few thousandths too long can load the bolt and cause this....and tail chasing accuracy issues.
How is it sticky? Hard to lift the handle? Sticks when you pull the bolt back to chamber a round? Does it matter if there is ammo in the magazine? Sticky when you push forward to chamber the round?
Could be what Wrench suggests, could be a rough cocking cam surface, could be a slightly undersize bolt body that wants to bind, could be galled lugs, could be a magazine that sits too high, or isn't inserted right, could be dirt/oil/crud as suggested by Gila, could be machining chips or dirt inside the bolt binding the firing pin, could be lots of stuff.
So, how is it sticky exactly?
