Stand up Work Desk

Another +1 for Uplift desks. Wife and I both have them at home. I stand 100% of the day, she's about 60/40.

Uplift is sturdy, doesn't wiggle around like the cheaper ones, but is $$$. They run ads for $XX off, but its really just al the free crap they toss in when you order. I only really use the floor pad thing, and bought my own keyboard and mouse pads. I did spring for the "power management" system (plug ins in the back mounted to the bottom, and a locking drawer

I saw good numbers on FB marketplace and craigslist (granted in a pretty suburban area). It was earlier in the summer so maybe it was just recent grads unloading theirs, but probably worth a look.
I’ve mostly seen good deals on FB Marketplace and local listings too, but if you’re open to buying new, it’s sometimes cheaper to grab one during promos. I was comparing a few standing desks recently and noticed some solid discounts floating around online.

If anyone’s considering FlexiSpot, I found a page that regularly updates Flexispot coupons and deals, which can bring the price close to used-market levels during sales. Might be worth checking before buying second-hand.

I have a vari desk adjustable desk top station. Not exactly sure of the model. But I have a work bench with the adjustable vari desk topper. I go between standing and sitting all day. Have an adjustable chair as well. This has been my favorite set up for what I do.

I have used many standup desks over the years. Mostly fixed height ones. After moving back to Idaho I only had sitting desks (one for work and one for home) and the wife got me an adjustable Flexispot from Amazon with a bamboo top. It’s probably not as robust as an Uplift brand, but it’s pretty damn good. One thing I like with it over the fixed height desk is being able to tweak the height depending on whether I have my inside shoes on or am barefoot. Just an inch or so helps a lot. Same with when I am sitting (I probably stand 70-80%). Those small little adjustments are super nice. I find I like different heights depending on whether I am typing all day versus designing.

I will say that on carpet there is a little front/back movement but it’s not a big deal.
