Anyone here shooting one of these? Released earlier this year. If you have, I want to hear your thoughts.

I’ve had mine for a few weeks. It’s very nice I normally shoot the Onnex. It’s very crisp more of a snap on the release rather than the quieter Onnex but nothing to be concerned about just something I noticed. I think the Onnex is easier to get on the loop but I’m still getting used to it. I alternate between the 2 and notice no difference in POi.

Good to know. I handled an Onnex today for the first time and it felt really good. I would have bought one but my local shop only had a medium. Then I started reading up on the SX4. If you had to pick just one, would you choose the onnex or SX4? I’m coming from a Carter wise choice (if it matters) which needs to go in for service.

I was on the hunt for one (still may end up with one) but found a B3 Omega Pro for much cheaper and it seems to be functionally very similar. Now that I’ve gotten better at clipping the hook on the string with this style release I’m a fan. I think the SX4 is going to be a huge seller and I’ll be a buyer when they come down a little on the secondhand market.

Honestly they’re both great. If I had to pick it would be the Onnex but just because I’ve been using it for almost 3 years. Either one is super adjustable so you can customize them to your liking.

Super crisp, very comfortable in the hand, as others have mentioned a very loud sound when you cock it, and also fire it, but that shouldn’t really be an issue considering this is more of a target release.
Super difficult to close on the D Loop, which is the one thing that kept me from buying it.
Went with an ultra view button instead

Had mine about two weeks, there's definitely some quirks i am not a fan of however time will tell If i can grow accustomed to them. Stan Releases have always been the most comfortable in hand for me, but I have some concerns that I am going to work through. Time will tell.

I briefly had the onnex and loved it but returned it for the UV2 button. The onnex retention gate is sharp and freyed my d loop. I'm sure it's something to do with my draw/release mechanics since I don't hear much about this and all of the ones I've touched had the issue.

Shot one this week. loved the feel of the release but the close mechanism drove me ****ing batty, Either had to reach up and physically close it or push it into the cables. super nice design otherwise, but if I wanted a similar release style id go with the truball abyss

Push the clasp into the nock of the arrow and it will close without any trouble. Actually been quicker for me than a Carter style closure.
Quick side note, You have the best screen name on RS.

I ended up buying a Stan Onnex to try, still have a Carter wise choice that I’ll use but it needs to go back for service/spring replacement. Liking the onnex so far, way more adjustable than the wise choice.
