I currently have the regular non-click Solex, and do enjoy the release. Now that the clicker version has been out for awhile, I wanted to see if anyone has been using it and how they like it compared to a non-click index release, and if you feel it has improved or worsened your accuracy, shot process, and target panic you may have had, etc....

It has helped me a ton. The click helps me figure how much pressure to apply and keep and then I can just pull, pull, pull till it goes off. I will never go back to a non-click release. That is me though

For me its more convenient to have the click, and I like it. But I don't see any noticeable difference in my shooting mechanics having shot a fairly heavy trigger for a decade now.

The goal matters in what your trying to accomplish. I often see shooters that have wild movement at the shot due to not even having the finger on the trigger prior to engaging the slingshot. The click is like magic and they make a big jump toward better shot control. For others its more subtle maybe a better shot process or more control under stress. There's only been a few that really hated it.

Didn't help me any and went back to no click. I would get some anticipation after hearing the click, whereas with no click I just focus on executing my process and get a "surprise" break when done correctly.

I have found without the click I pull through the shot without any hesitation. The click seemed to break the process leading to a less consistent shot.

So I went to Scheels and shot one for awhile with a demo Mathews bow set to my DL and DW specs. Absolutely hated the click, it instantly messed up my pull through process. Not for me.

Gonna see if I can try the Onnex clicker this weekend. The standard tumb felt very nice.

Listening to joel turner talk about it makes me think it's a release for people very much following his shot theory

Nice release but the click function didn't work for me. Fortunately it's very adjustable so rather than selling it I was able to make it work so the click didn't affect my shot.

I like to think I'm in good company since Turner's son, who is a competitive phenom, doesn't shoot the click either. At least he didn't the last time I heard him asked.

I just got a click to try. Took some very conscious effort to integrate the click into the shot routine, and actually caused more shot anxiety for me. I’m sure it works for some, especially a new archer or someone coming from a hinge with a click, but to relearn the shot process for me was a negative. Anyone want to buy a like new Solex click?
